Project Description

According to the CDC, distracted driving caused an average of 9 deaths and 1,000 injuries per day in 2017, while TwD (Texting while Driving) is one of the main causes behind all these accidents. The goal of this project is to design and implement an innovative solution to detect TwD, based on the information collected by the sensors already embedded in a smartphone. The deliverable of the project is a smartphone App to detect TwD, with a zero false negative rate and a low false positive rate.
